Edible Model T’s Assembly Line

While learning about Assembly Lines and Henry Ford, Cadets in LT Curtis’ U.S. History II courses had a “hands on” experience working in an assembly line making edible Model T’s. Meanwhile other Cadets were working solo or with a single partner, illustrating how many more the assembly line is able to produce, particularly when the parts are standardized and people are given one simple task to perform repeatedly.

In the end, between four classes, 110 Edible Model T’s (and one tank) were made, with participants keeping one, and others being dispersed throughout UMA. All in all, it was a successful, and hopefully memorable, lesson that will stay with the Cadets even after the sugar rush has died down.
